Chapter Five
The Nature of God

teaches the relationship between God and man and between man and man.  There are no other writings or books such as the Talmud, Koran, or the Book of Mormon that Christians need to read to provide salvation.  The Bible is supreme and final.

The Bible is not a science book and as a history book it is limited to God’s chosen people from Adam to Christ. Science is a study of God’s creation called the universe and all that is included in the physical, including man’s behavior.  There can be no conflict between science and the Bible because they are both inspired by God. Conflict occurs because of interpretation, and interpretation is as varied as there are people.  For example, there are over 500 Christian denominations in the world.  They are all different and they all read the same book.  The challenge isn’t for science and Christianity to prove each other wrong but to prove each other right.

When God created the universe he set the events in motion.  The entire world is a free spirit in the sense that man is free to do what he wants, along with the weather, the animals and the Earth.  So when a person is born into riches, or is creative or has certain talents this can be called luck or fate.

God does not interfere with catastrophic incidents on a daily basis.  If God did intervene it would be called a miracle.  On the other hand, luck or fate is what happens when you win the lottery.  It is not a spirit or a god to be worshipped.  It is just what happens.
